Morehouse Elementary (In Progress)
Morehouse Parish School District is making incredible strides in creating inclusive play spaces for all students! The new inclusive playground at Morehouse Elementary is currently under construction, bringing exciting opportunities for children of all abilities to play side by side.
The playground will feature ramped play structures, allowing children using mobility devices to easily access elevated play activities — fostering inclusive, multi-level play where every child can participate. Research shows that inclusive playgrounds promote social interaction, empathy, and physical development by encouraging children of all abilities to play and explore together.
The next steps in the installation process include laying the concrete base, followed by the Poured-in-Place (PIP) rubber safety surfacing – a key feature that provides a safe, accessible foundation for children with mobility devices.
Playground installations can be complex, especially with unpredictable weather, but our dedicated crews are working hard to deliver a high-quality space where every child can learn, grow, and play together.
👏 Congratulations to Morehouse Parish School District and Morehouse Elementary for your commitment to creating an inclusive play area for all! Stay tuned for completed project photos soon!
